1Password 8 for macOS has large memory leak

It seems that 1Password has a large memory leak. Leaving 1Password open for a few days results in almost 1.8GB of memory usage and growing.

After closing 1Password and reopening, it reverts to a fraction of that (89MB)

It's not the end of the world to quit and reopen it every few days, but it would be nice not to have to do so :-)

  • Hi @k776, thank you for reporting this issue. This is certainly not the kind of memory usage we'd expect! I'll be happy to follow up on this for you.

In order that I may do so, I'll ask you to send us a diagnostic report from the app where this is happening. You can do this by going to 1Password > Preferences > Advanced > Send Diagnostics.

This will create a file which you can send to us by email, at support@1Password.com. When you do, please include your forum username and a link to this thread so that we have all the info in one place. And from there, we'll be able to investigate this for you properly!

Thank you, and best regards 👋
