What is the AccountExports folder, and why are vaults backing up in there every day?

I happened to be looking for the latest 1Password app that got downloaded onto my mac and I happened to notice there is a folder called AccountExports that seems to be backing up all of my vaults every day? I didn't knowingly turn this on, and I've been using a cloud account for many years so I am confused what this folder is, and why data is going in there?
At first I was very concerned that something was exporting for nefarious reasons, however the files at least look encrypted - but now I am wondering why this seems to be happening and if its some old setting from years ago that is silently running?

So what is this folder? Do I need it? Should I stop it?
