Cleared cookies in Safari - now extension refuses to remember settings

I actually cleared all website data; I was having a problem with a particular bank. I guess that's where 1Password for Safari keeps its settings.

Now, I can't seem to get the extension to remember any settings. The selection of vault, the suppression of the autofill menu, and the default vault for saving new passwords are the three settings I want to change away from their default values.

This is actually a pressing problem. I've now migrated to 1Password 8 and the old extension is no longer available to me.

    Hi @burnwa:

    As you noted, 1Password for Safari stores some configuration settings in what Safari considers "website data". Fully quitting Safari and re-opening it should fix things up and allow 1Password for Safari to work as expected. Let me know how you get on with that!

    Hi Jack,

    I tried restarting Safari many times. Eventually the restart of Safari worked and it was able to retain preferences. I'm not quite sure what was different on the last attempt. It could be that I had the 1Password application opened as I was restarting Safari and that was getting in the way.
