1password extension won't login

I have recently installed the latest 1 password extension on Safari and have given it the necessary permissions. But when I pick the 1password icon and fill in my 1password password I just get the rotating 'processing' symbol and nothing happens. I have to go to my top bar and open 1password from there. Can anyone suggest how I fix this please?

Please try updating macOS. About the security content of macOS Monterey 12.5.1 - Apple Support That may help matters. If not, we can proceed from that point.

@ag_tommy Thanks that solved it! I had assumed I was on the latest version of macOS as I had automatically update on. But I hadn't been updated because of too little space. Sorted that now. So killed two birds with one stone. Thanks again. Richard.
