Wrong shortcut binding

Hi,

When I was using 1Password 7 I had the following shortcut set to open autfill: ⌘ + §
The § key is convenient because it's located right above tab key on a CH-fr layout keyboard.

When I try to set the same shortcut on 1Password 8 the keys are recognized as ⌘ + < and it's not working when I try using it.

How can I fix this ?

    Hi Jack.P_1P & Phil0u,

    PhiOu, a very good question!

Jack, I really like how 1Password support normally helps and responds to their community/customer base!

But, it doesn't help the community when the question is posted and the answer is not there.
Rather than sharing the fix with the community, you are answering him privately via email.

This protocol doen't help those who search for an answer to the same issue.
They get to read the question, only to find out the answer is given privately.

Just my humble opion, for what it's worth.

  • Hi @RSFerris,

Thanks for your encouraging words, I agree with your thoughts about sharing answers as publicly as possible, it's certainly the greatest strength of our community here! In cases where folks have contacted us on multiple channels, we try to focus on one to avoiding duplicating answers or doubling up on resources.

That said, if keyboard shortcuts aren't behaving as expected for you, please let me know. I'm happy to investigate your situation further. 😊
