Bug with Chrome extension on Mac - app connect and autofill failures
I recently started experiencing a bug on Chrome, especially since I recently manually updated the browser extension. There was no automated path to updating; I had to delete the old extension completely and install the new one. When I hit the keyboard shortcut to autofill, things freeze for a moment then the error "Looking for the 1Password app," then "Couldn't find 1Password." Meanwhile, clicking on support yields a green message in the browser that says "1Password is installed in your browser" with a thumbs up icon.
After some fiddling, manually unlocking the app, sometimes the modal appears in Chrome from which to choose a password to autofill. When I select one, it fails to fill the fields as though it never happened. Often the only way to use 1Password in Chrome now is to manually copy/paste all the login info from the app directly into the browser.
