Vault meaning

Please remember me, what are vaults for now? I can't activate/dective them anymore, my personal and work vault items are mixed, my secure vault items are listed among others, I can't hide them. I've lost the idea why/how should I use vaults at all. Can anyone tell me?

Collections would be the best option I can think of. I have one for personal, work, testing and so on.
