MacOS - Quick access didn't suggest passwords for applications

Yesterday I switched from 1Password 7 to 1Password 8. In the old version, a login was suggested to me in applications, which I could take over via drag & drop. In the new version, a login is no longer suggested to me when I have the corresponding program in the foreground.

For example, I have stored the following URL in the login: app://net.tunnelblick.tunnelblick

Can I reactivate this via a setting or is the function no longer included in the new version?

1Password Version: 8.8.0
Extension Version: 2.3.7
OS Version: macOS 12.5.1
Browser:_ Safari

  • Hi @Gerrit78:

If you open Quick Access with Tunnelblick focused, search for the relevant login, then choose Autofill from the More Actions page. Choose Fill and Update Login, and from then on, that Login item should be suggested when you use Quick Access or your Autofill shortcut (by default ⌘+).

Let me know how you get on with that!

Yeah, that's what I was looking for! Thank you very much.

Just as a hint - the shortcut for autofill is on my system [Shift] + [Enter] (I didn't changed this). But maybe this differs from your mentioned default because of my german keyboard layout... ?!

  • On behalf of Jack you're very welcome, @Gerrit78!

I suspect you're right about the shortcut. If you would like to change it, you can do so in the 1Password preferences:
