In version 7.9.6 for Mac, it's very easy to change a field type after the data has been entered. For instance, changing a text field to a date. I have not been able to figure out how to do that in Version 8.9.4 for Mac.

In Version 7.9.6 for Mac, it's very easy to reorder certain fields to make them easily visible when the window is smaller. Again, I have not been able to figure out how to do that in Version 8.9.4 for Mac.

To be honest, from a user's perspective, Version 7.9.6 for Mac is easier to use. This also seems to be the consensus for the current iOS app given the low rating in the App Store. As a user from the very early days of 1Password, I think you're ignoring the adage of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." This is not to say that behind the scenes improvements in speed and security, or automatic recognition of a phone number aren't welcome.

  • Hi @DocJohninDC:

Thanks for your feedback on this. I can see how it would be handy to change the field type of fields like you could in 1Password 7, so I've shared your thoughts on an existing feature request we have.

As for field reordering, while I can't promise anything specific just yet, it's on our roadmap to bring to 1Password 8 and I'm hopeful we'll be tackling it soon.
