My install of 1Password 8 hung -- for 20 hours -- at the "don't quit this app" caution. What now??

If I can't quit the app, and the install won't run, and it's waiting for files to copy, what am I supposed to do? I'm worried that if I /do/ quit the app, I'll lose a huge collection of passwords which I don't know myself and that would be a disaster for me. Having an installer that won't finish, can't be quit, and seems to control invaluable information of mine is, to be polite, sub-optimal.

    Sorry to hear the 1Password 8 installer isn't behaving as expected, it's sometimes the case that having 1Password 7 open during this process will help. In the meantime, you can ensure the safety of your data by checking it on 1Password.com.
