How to disable 1Password 8 ads in 1Password 7?

Since I am unable to use non-App Store apps on my Mac, I continue using 1Password 7 on my Mac and my iOS devices. In recent weeks, I keep on seeing ads for 1Password 8 both on the Mac and on my iOS devices (e.g. "1Password 8 for Mac is here"). How can I switch them permanently off? I am a paying customer and I know that 1Password 8 was released and I know that I can't switch to it. Any help would be appreciated. These ads are annoying.

    I'd be interested to hear: what prevents you from installing apps that aren't from the App Store? While individual messages can be dismissed, it isn't possible to turn off upgrade notifications entirely. 1Password 7 is no longer being developed, and so it would be prudent to find a way to upgrade to 1Password 8 in order to continue receiving 1Password updates. While it is possible we'll eventually release 1Password 8 on the App Store, there are no definitive plans to do so at this time. If you've got your Mac set to only allow App Store apps, you may want to consider adjusting that setting:

    In System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click General. Click the lock and enter your password to make changes. Select App Store and identified developers under the header “Allow apps downloaded from.”

    Ben, thanks to your response. My MacBook Pro is managed by the company I work for and this company does not allow installation of non-App Store applications (all radio buttons below "Allow apps downloaded from:" are greyed out). This is very common for large companies using organization-owned macOS deployment models to control how the operating system is configured for security reasons (this used to be called MDM, but nowadays the official name is "Apple Platform Deployment").

    As long as you do not release an App Store version of 1Password 8, I am unable to migrate to it. So if this takes you more time, it would be nice if you could let your customers turn off the migration reminders for 1Password 8 as they are not actionable. Thanks a lot!
