my fingerprint is not working on my iMac desktop. I cannot find a "button" to reset it. thanks

when I click on the Safari 1P App, I'm no longer given the choice to use my fingerprint. I cannot find a place to reset or start it. Your help is appreciated.

I found out that I had to redo my fingerprint on my iMac, which fixed the problem on Safari.

  • Hey @Osote,

It sounds like 1Password for Safari may be having a hard time connecting with your 1Password desktop app, can you try the steps below to restart things and let me know if you can then unlock with Touch ID:

    1. Right click the little 1Password icon on the top menu bar of your Mac (where the clock is) and select "Quit".
    2. Quit Safari by right clicking its icon in the Dock and selecting "Quit".
    3. Open and unlock 1Password.
    4. Open Safari and test if it is working properly.

    I hope this helps!
