3 years agoUnable to change default vault for creating new logins
In previous versions of the app you are able to change the default vault that logins are stored in, so that you don’t have to change it every time. It appears that the setting is no longer available in version 8 and is now defaulting to my personal vault instead of my shared one.

Would you be interested in a Beta? https://releases.1password.com/mac/beta/#1password-for-mac-8.9.10-9
You can now choose a default vault to save new items in.

Hey @minuenn
If you don't use your Private vault much and would prefer to work in your Shared vault most of the time, I'd suggest making a Collection containing only the Shared vault.
☞ Use collections to create custom groups of vaults
Then, when you switch to that collection, you'll only see the contents of its vault(s), and any new items would be saved into your Shared vault as a result. Give that a go and let me know if that helps.
