can hotkeys open 1PW 8 on the screen opposite of the foreground focus? (MAC)

i don't know if this was purely accidental or coincidental, but prior versions of 1PW, when hitting the hot keys to either open 1PW fully or quick access, it would always open on the screen opposite to the one your current foreground focus is on. this was nice when needing a pw for an app or web page you're staring at so you don't need to cmd + tab back/forth, or even worse, ctrl + (when using a full screened vm or other app). 1PW 8 doesn't seem to do this.

am i wrong this used to be a thing? if not, is there any way to make this happen again?

Thanks.

  • Hey @fsantiago0704482

1Password will always reopen its window in the last place you put it, in the same position, and at the same size. You can use the Show 1Password keyboard shortcut to "toggle" the main window. For example, in my case, I've set ⇧⌘\ (Shift–Command–Backslash) as my Show 1Password keyboard shortcut, and I can make it appear and disappear by pressing that keyboard combination.

If you have a preferred place for your 1Password window, move it there, and it'll open there each time you open it. Let me know if that helps. :)

I agree and I do see that behavior. I guess perhaps I’m just misremembering how it used to behave and maybe all is as expected. Thanks.
