Feature request: account password prompt for selected passwords or secure notes

Hey!
I've been a 1Password family user for years. The possibility to add a second layer of security for selected items, making it require a password prompt or a biometry or/and a 2FA is a long-awaited feature for me. Also, if easier, a separate vault with those unlock settings can be also nice, but less versatile.
It can help:
1. Protect yourself from accidental changes.
2. Protect selected items during an unlocked period (decreasing that period isn't comfortable and needed for most data).
3. Generely add the second layer for selected items.Hope, it'll get internal priority soon.

Thank you all, I've passed on your feedback as well!

Happy New Year! 🎉🍾 I'd like to join the chorus of people requesting this feature. I've been suing 1Password for a few years now, but this is certainly a feature that is sorely missing.
In my particular case, I'd like to keep my aging father's 1Password master password in case we need to access his login information at some point, but I'd really not like to expose his master password to likely breach if my own account gets compromised (likely because I've unlocked 1Password and laptop got stolen, for example).

Thanks @soggyspider I've shared you thoughts with the team for consideration.

I've just imported my LP vault, as I'm annoyed their extension won't log off automatically. But to be honest, the lack of a password re-entry is a deal breaker for me (I'm shocked it isn't there to be honest), I'm going back to LP, or I'll try something else..... disappointed.

Have you adjusted your auto-lock settings? 🔒 How to set 1Password to lock automatically

Sure, I could do that, but it isn't at all convenient to lock everything, all the time - like this forum - why would I want to unlock specifically for this? But my banking website, paypal, or email - I like that extra layer of security, without locking myself out of everything, all of the time.

I'm of the mind that locking everything is best. People have their accounts socially engineered all the time. I would rather spend 2 seconds unlocking with something like biometrics or 5-10 seconds with my password and have everything secured. That said, I could get behind an additional prompt for my banking information. :)
Your security model may be different, and we understand that. There is no feature like you're asking for currently. I can, however, submit a feature request on your behalf. I'll preface that with the fact that I am not a developer, but it seems like this would be a substantial change for 1Password. It might be a long road if the team decides to pursue this approach. Again, I am not a developer, and these are just my thoughts.
Things to consider that may make life and unlocking easier:
macOS:
1. Apple Watch unlock.
2. Biometrics.Windows:
1. Windows Hello.1Password:
1. Change your password to something easier to type. Typically, we do not recommend this but occasionally there is a need for some users. Only you can decided if this applies to you.How to Create a Strong 1Password Account Password
- For years I used a very long and complex password. I've changed that in recent years to an 8-word memorable password created by 1Password. I have found the password was picked up and memorized with rather astounding speed. You might consider that option if it helps. I am not sure of your needs and desires you might have.
