1Password Business or Enterprise and invisible Passwords
Hello Support,
I need your assist, because we would like to use 1password for our Business.
We have create a Business account as trial and by the Test´s we see, that isn´t posible to make invisible the passwords for our Employees.
We would like that the Employees can copy the Password, but can´t read the password.
It´s this possible with the Enterprise edition? Or isn´t a possible option from 1password?
Thanks a lot for your assist
Regards
Michael

Hi @Liakounis, welcome to the 1Password Support Community, and thanks for giving 1Password Business a try. 👋
We would like that the Employees can copy the Password, but can´t read the password.
This is absolutely possible if you're using 1Password Business. You'll have access to granular user and group permissions on vaults. One such permission is
View and Copy Passwords
. If a user or group lacks this permission for a shared vault, they will not be able to view or copy any of the password fields for saved items stored in that vault inside any of the 1Password applications or web extensions. They will still be able to use 1Password in the browser to fill those concealed passwords on the sign-in pages of websites. You can learn more about the various permissions in 1Password Business from this support article: Create, share, and manage vaults in your team
As great as a feature this is, it should be viewed mainly as a deterrent, as we can only guarantee true compliance within the 1Password ecosystem of applications and web extensions. When 1Password is invoked by a team member to fill a password into a browser, they might still obtain the password by using the developers’ tools on that web page, or by clicking the "Show password" icon from the website itself. We cover this and more in this support article and our Security Design white paper.
As you've mentioned recently signing up for 1Password Business, and if you haven't already done so, you can contact our Business team at business@1password.com if you have any questions about getting started or would like to learn more about your options.
