Firefox not accessing second account

in Browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)

I recently decided to get a 1password personal account in addition to my work account, and tried to set up both accounts on my personal laptop; unfortunately, the personal account has a lock icon in the browser extension menu, and isn't a valid target for loading or saving passwords. When I click on the personal account, it opens the 1Password application with a modal with nothing but a Lock icon on it. Is there something additional I need to be doing here? I don't see any possible action from that state.
