I'm sorry to hear that the installer for 1Password 8 isn't moving forward. You may be running into an issue we're tracking. You can quit the installer (it won't result in any data loss). Then follow these steps:
- Open and unlock 1Password 7.
- Confirm that you can see your items.
- Leave 1Password 7's main window open.
- Run the 1Password 8 installer again while 1Password 7 is open.

I did as you said, 2 windows come up. One says contact support or cancel and the other is the same as before saying “waiting for data to be moved. Don’t quit this app.”
