Transition to 8 taking a long time

Downloaded 8 to iMac Pro with lates MacOS
box says “waiting for data to be moved. Don’t quit this app.” It’s been an hour.

    I'm sorry to hear that the installer for 1Password 8 isn't moving forward. You may be running into an issue we're tracking. You can quit the installer (it won't result in any data loss). Then follow these steps:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password 7.
    2. Confirm that you can see your items.
    3. Leave 1Password 7's main window open.
    4. Run the 1Password 8 installer again while 1Password 7 is open.

    I did as you said, 2 windows come up. One says contact support or cancel and the other is the same as before saying “waiting for data to be moved. Don’t quit this app.”
