My iMac freezes up when starting

My iMac (Operating System: Monterey Version 12.6) freezes up when I start it. The desktop background picture appears and the dock items appear but no normal desktop icons appear. It is totally unresponsive and there is one dock item (where the 1Password icon normally appears) that is greyed out. The 1Password (little circle) that normally appears in the upper right top of screen does not appear. Then, after about 15 minutes, the grey dock icon turns into a 1Password icon and the computer fully populates and acts normally. I spoke with Apple and they suspect that 1Password is failing to load up properly and is freezing the computer up until it finally loads. Can you help? I think I should uninstall 1Password and reinstall but don't know how to do that. I have all of the latest updates for both 1Password and Monterey installed.
