Enter password every two weeks, just asked again after 1 week

Was asked to enter credentials for a website (an atlassian.net website used for a business I am supporting) and 1Password asked me for my password with the note that it needs to do this every 2 weeks. In this instance I know that I was on vacation for 1 week and my computer was off until last Friday (10/7). So I know that I logged in ~6 days ago so I should have not been asked until 10/21. No idea why just thought you would like to know.

Cheers!

I’ve had a similar issue, but maybe a different cause? I often work with my laptop closed, using an external monitor, so even though I have Touch ID enabled, I have to type my password into 1Password fairly frequently – like multiple times a day (YubiKey support would be nice).

However, I still get the “you need to enter your password once every two weeks” from time to time (about every two weeks?) – even if I had already entered my password earlier that day. So, what I’m guessing is happening is that it’s not tracking every time I’ve entered my password, but only how long it’s been since I’ve specifically entered my password in the “you need … every two weeks” dialog.

It’s slightly annoying, since being able to use Touch ID is one of the decadent pleasures of having my laptop open.

Similarly, I have to enter my 1Password password on my other devices once every two weeks as well. However, things like iPhones are much more annoying to type good passwords on. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the use case / threat model, but it seems like as long as I’ve explicitly entered the password on some device in the past two weeks, I should be good. I.e., if I’m typing the password on my laptop all the time, iPhone should just let me keep using Face ID.
