1Password 8 installed on Mac, how to remove 1Password7 and 1Password7.app.zip file?

I installed 1Password 8 on my Mac back in May of 2002 and it works fine. However, in my applications I still see 1Password7 and a 1Password7.app.zip file. How do I remove 1Password7 and the zip file without harming 1Password8. I am concerned that removal or deletion may have an effect on 1Password8. I am on Mac Monterey at the moment. Could you please advise what I should do!

Correction of typo, "Installed 1Password8 on my Mac back in May of 2022"

  • Hey there @toddmck

If you see "1Password 7(.app)" or "1Password 7.app.zip", then those can safely be moved to the Trash.

You only need to keep "1Password(.app)" (with no version number). If you're using Safari, you'll also need to keep "1Password for Safari(.app)".

Hope that helps, but let me know if you need anything. :)
