1Blocker vs 1P, possible conflict
Since updating both 1P and 1Blocker (4.1.10) on 12.6.1 I have noticed that 1Blocker keeps on reporting that 1P is requesting access (and asking for me to allow it) not for the site on the page which I am on; but for access to the last site (or domain) which I have just visited.
Is this a known bug, please?

Hey @Mark Sealey,
Since 1Password for Safari is a “web extension”, it needs user permissions to be able to function within the browser. Our requirement to “allow access to all sites” achieves two things:
- The ability to scan (read) the page HTML to determine if it’s fillable. This also tells us where/when to inject the inline menu.
- The ability to autofill (write) to the site. While performing an autofill, it effectively changes the HTML. When you submit the autofill, it will allow you to authenticate it properly.
If you still have any concerns, I recommend going through this explanation of our security and privacy: About 1Password browser permissions .
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks, @steph.giles … I think I understand that. It's the fact that it always shows not the current but the previous site (the last page used, a page I am no longer on) needing attention which is puzzling me :-)

Thanks, @Joy_1P .

Hello again, @Joy_1P,
I have heard back from the very helpful developer of 1Blocker, Alex.
He has confirmed that this is a bug (or some sort of - unexpected - behaviour) in 1P itself. And not reproducible from their software.
Any guidance you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@Mark Sealey what happens when you turn off 1Blocker? Is the issue via 1Password still present?

It can recur, Yes.
I experimented some more with both 1P and 1Blocker settings and have managed to avoid the behaviour. But I can't be sure exactly which change has caused this.

Hey @Mark Sealey
I'm sorry for the delayed response, let us know if you experience any other strange behaviour and we can further investigate.
Happy New Year!

Thanks, @steph.giles ; and a Happy New Year to you and yours as well :-)
Will do. It seems as though there's some combination of settings which causes this behaviour; and so somehow reversing/unsetting them has caused it to go away. Alex at 1Blocker kindly investigated as well and determined that the appearance of the 'previous' site is indeed a 1P phenomenon. Your help appreciated.
