Auto Lock Time Settings not available in Brave / Chrome Extension (MacOS)

Hi,
I jumped over from Lastpass and am loving it so far.
Only thing really annoying is the time for the auto lock in the brave browser.
It keeps asking me for my masterpassword, and that is a very secure password and I don't want to enter this several times per day or even hour.

I found a thread, but my extension says the security settings are handled by the app.
But i can not change any extension timeout settings in the app.

How can I configure this to only ask me once when i startup the browser?
I don't have a Fingerprint or FaceID or something on my Desktop iMac...

This is literally driving me crazy.

Br, Konrad

    Hello,
The application and the extension are linked.
The unlock time is set in the app: Settings > Security.
    See : Manage auto-lock in the 1Password apps > Mac here : https://support.1password.com/auto-lock/#manage-auto-lock-in-the-1password-extension
It will therefore be the same setting for the extension.

Ok, now I have got it. The Extension pointed me to the "App", and I was constantly checking the iPhone app settings. But the setting is to be applied in the desktop application. This totally makes sense now.

The only thing I still have to complain is that there is only one setting for Auto-lock on "Sleep, Screensaver, User Switch". It would be great to have different settings for all these options or even better, having the option to set timers for each of them...

But the Topic can be considered closed, thanks Ekalb.

  • Hey @Konrad77,

I have gone ahead and passed this feedback on to our Product team to see if we can separate out these settings in a future update.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with at all.
