Why do you send verification emails with redirected links?

I couldn't believe it. My new password security program started out with a "verification email" with a redirected link. The ostensible link was:
https://my.1password.com/sign-up/4W46HPXQ4FEA*****3YDP7J6IA?l=en

However, it contained an embedded redirect:

uBlock Origin has prevented the following page from loading:

https://1password.grsm.io/6877686
Because of the following filter:

||grsm.io^

This is part of some kind of revenue scraping via 1Password's partnering with Partnerstack.com:
https://support.partnerstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/9566675540883-PartnerStack-and-Adblockers

_"With the usage of ad blockers on the rise, it's important to know the impact ad blockers can have on the links your partners use, and how you can avoid losing clicks and conversions to ad blockers.

Ad blockers commonly block domains that are associated with affiliate links, including the domains of many other partnerships tools. We recently learned that grsm.io, PartnerStack’s default domain for partner links, has been added to a list of domains that many ad blocking tools reference. This means that people using ad blockers who click a grsm.io link may not be redirected to your site."_

I don't follow redirected links.

  • Hello @jwclack52! 👋

    We'd be happy to dig deeper into this. I see that you're already in conversation with the team over email and I suggest continuing the discussion there. I've asked my colleagues to send you another reply as soon as possible. To prevent the same conversation from happening in two different places at the same time I'm closing this thread.
