After installing 1Password 8 app I have both 8 and 6.6.4 on device and assume delete 6.6.4?
Rookie question: Upon receipt of the e mail announcing Password 8 for iOS, i clicked on the link to accept assuming it would overlay (delete and replace the last version I had on my iPhone, 1Password 6.6.4.) But I now have two 1Password apps on my device (iPhone XR 2019), and I assume I should just delete 1 Password 6.6.4 and not worry about loss of data as apparently the new version picked up my 6.6.4 data? Correct?
1Password Version: 6.6.4
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 16.6

It's imperative to the safety of your data that you ensure it is available on https://my.1password.com and ensure you have a copy of your 🚒 Emergency Kit and that you know your password. Provided all of that is true, then yes, the next course of action would be to delete the app !Password 7).
Alternatively, you can also off-load the 1Password 7 app which would leave any data on the device that it created. It would be protected as always by your password.
- Open Settings and tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage and give it a while to load.
- From the list of apps, tap the app you want to offload.
- Tap Offload App and confirm.
You may need to enable options for 1Password 8. Now is a great time to review all of your settings.

Thanks much for the reply, and reminder per your first bullet point. I'm good to go.
