Is there a way for 1Password to fill the WhatsApp 2FA code in Android?

Currently it doesn't present any fill option when WhatsApp requests the 2FA code. The only way to fill it is by opening 1Password app, copying the code and then pasting on WhatsApp, which is a lot of steps.

@jackblue, thanks for chiming in here! If you're using the 1Password keyboard, are you referring to 1Password 7 for Android instead of 1Password 8 for Android?

Yes, 1Password can fill the https://waplusblue.com/ 2FA code on Android devices using the 1Password autofill feature. To use this feature, you'll need to have the latest version of 1Password and the 1Password keyboard enabled on your device. After that, you can simply tap on the 2FA code field in WhatsApp and 1Password should automatically fill it in for you, saving you time and hassle.

Technically I'm sure it is possible, because there are other password managers that can fill the 2FA PIN.
Let's wait for your dev team. Thanks!

Hey @esimioni, thanks for reaching out in the 1Password Community!

While 1Password for Android can fill TOTP fields where supported, it cannot fill the 2FA PIN field in the WhatsApp app at this time. In addition to the copy and paste method you've mentioned, you can use https://support.1password.com/getting-started-android/#use-1password-to-fill-in-apps-and-browsers. I've gone ahead and filed a report with our development team regarding the WhatsApp app to see if this is behaviour we can change in the future.
