Couldn’t connect to 1Password helper
I'm having trouble connecting 1Password in Chrome and Brave on Windows 10. I've tried restarting my computer, reinstalling 1Password, restarting my browsers. I can't seem to use 1Password in my browser.
The browser extension brings up a tab that says the following after about 10 seconds.
Couldn’t connect to 1Password
The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly.

Either the helper is not running, or something is preventing it from communicating with the 1Password browser extension. Follow the simple steps on our support site or contact us.

Hey @trickytank,
It sounds like you may have the older classic version of 1Password in your browser installed. Can you try the steps below to see if we can get things working:
- Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose 'Remove from Chrome'
- Install the latest version from here: https://support.1password.com/getting-started-browser/
