If you’re like me, you’ve probably already told your friends and family that they should be using a password manager. But even being a 1Password employee isn’t always enough to convince others to adopt better security! If you need help getting your family and friends to adopt a password manager – or switch to 1Password – I’ve included the main benefits we like to highlight for those considering upgrading their security.

Secure by design

Instead of relying on an account password alone, data stored in 1Password is protected by dual-key encryption that’s unique to 1Password.

Private by default

We can’t see their 1Password data, so we can’t use it, share it, or sell it – and neither can anyone else. What people store in 1Password is theirs alone.

We’ll help cover the cost

If they’re in a contract with another password manager we’ll credit the remainder of their invoice with a competitor when they switch.*
