1Password8 hits "enter" automatically now?

Not sure when that started, but I probably since I updated to 1password 8.9.14 the other day.

So: 1password slightly changed its behavior.

In the past, I hit command-#, and 1password suggests what to enter, I select what I want ... 1password writes user id + password ...
and then I have to manually click submit/login.

Now, 1password automatically "submits" after filling user/password.

Problem is: I have at least one site where I need to ALSO enter a captcha when logging in.
Which I am used to do after hitting command-# and 1password filling the other fields.

So: is there a setting that gives me the old behaviour, or to tell 1password to not auto-submit on specific pages?

1Password Version: 8.9.14
Extension Version: 2.5.2
OS Version: macOS 13.2
Browser:_ chrome 109.0.5414.119

Seems to be fixed with 9.9.15

Thanks for updating us and my apologies for that hiccup. I suspect it was due to the issue with unlocking 1Password in the browser that was introduced in 8.9.14

    Yeah, I noticed that, too.

Note: I then ran into another issue ... a had really old entry in my 1password that said http://some.site
The latest version wouldn't offer me to auto-fill for that site ... until I realized "red icon there", and I removed the http from the website in the login entry.

  • Thanks for getting back to us @EdGue.

That's right, 1Password will try to notify you if the website URL saved is not secure.

Well, it would be nice if 1password notified me ... on that page. I was sitting there for 5 minutes wondering why the keyboard shortcut didn't insert my password.
