Feature Request: Floating new password verification window

When changing a password there is a verification window that often blocks the site's new password page so that any errors can't be detected until you clear the verification window. It would be best if this window was floating instead of fixed so you can move it out of the way to make sure the new password was "approved" by the web app before you save it to 1Password.

  • Hey @clarkrw,

We prompt the user to save the password before submitting the form as a sure fire way to avoid data loss incase something goes wrong with the website page loading when you hit login/sign up. 1Password tries to offer passwords that meet the requirements of the website you are on, to avoid it being rejected. I understand that things don't always work that smoothly but in the case you need to change the password because the one suggested doesn't meet the requirements, if you click on the 'Save in 1Password' prompt beneath the field it will offer to update your login for you.

I hope this make sense, let us know if you have any questions.
