Custom autofill behaviour not working properly with 2 urls

Newest update added autofill behaviour settings based on URL. When adding multiple URL's (in my case 2 different domains) to an item, custom autofill behaviour does not work as expected when both websites have different settings.

e.g. When website 1 has "Fill anywhere on this website", and Website 2 has "Only fill on this exact domain", 1password behaves as though "Fill anywhere on this website" is selected for both domains.

OS Version: Windows 11
Browser:_ Edge

I have noticed a similar issue.

    Given the following items:
    Item 1 - KCLS
url 1: https://kcls.bibliocommons.com/user/login ---> Only fill on this exact domain

    Item 2 - SPL
url 1: https://spl.bibliocommons.com/user/login ---> Only fill on this exact domain
url 2: https://www.spl.org --> Fill anywhere on this website

When I go to https://kcls.bibliocommons.com/user/login Item 1 and Item 2 show up in autofill list. If I change url 2 in Item 2 to "Only fill on this exact domain" then only Item 1 shows up. For either setting, when I go to https://spl.bibliocommons.com/user/login only Item 2 shows up.

This issue still exists for 1Password for Mac 8.10.9.

Yep, I'm experiencing this issue as well.

If an item has one website, https://subdomain.example.com, and that website is configured to "Only fill on this exact domain," it works as expected. Specifically, the item is not suggested for autofill on example.com.

If any other website is added to that item, such as https://related-site.com, that behavior no longer works, and the item is incorrectly suggested for autofill on example.com.

Here's a shared link to a fake item exhibiting the behavior, though it will only be good for 30 days: https://share.1password.com/s#qOoipgwzPVEhzeSWGYhBVOCqHVkLfE42cVDZFoe19Yo

  • Hey @NowThatsPodRacing @dkav @passwordsbeegone @ravron,

I'm so sorry for the delayed reply, this thread seemed to have slipped through the net.

You're right, currently autofill behavior rules are not respected with multiple websites/subdomains saved within a login item. Our development team are aware of this behavior and are looking to see if we can make improvements to this in a future update.

I have added you all as affected users to the internal issue, please let us know if there is anything else we can help with in the meantime.
