Getting prompted unnecessarily for SSH key every time anything git-related is access

I usually use BitBucket for my git repositories but recently created my first SSH key in 1Password for a rarely used Github account. Now I'm getting a Touch ID prompt every time I access -anything- git related, not just when I'm working with the Github repo.
Is there anything I can do to limit this to only dealing with Github repos?
Examples would be opening up Nova to upload files via SFTP (the projects check repository info) or VIsual Studio Code when I go to make a new commit.
I do see my .gitconfig has been edited. Can I remove the signingkey , [gpg], [gpg "ssh"] and [commit] references without doing something terrible along the way?
