How to find a previously used and store password for a specific site?
THe specific site forced me to create a new password. In doing so I must have overwritten the old passowrd with the one created by 1Password in the field where the old one should go. So the site now complains that I cannot reuse the same old passowrd for the new one. so basically i'm stuck now. Unless I can find my previous passowrd somewehere in 1password.

Have you check the previous password history within the app? Here's how to do that. Click at the end of the password section on the 🔽 and then click on previous passwords. You should see something like the following.
