Unlock 1Password with SSO
Starting today, Unlock 1Password with Single Sign-On is available. 😁
All 1Password Business customers now have the option to unlock their accounts using Okta (*).
Unlock with SSO shifts away from needing 1Password’s Secret Key, but does so in a way that preserves zero-knowledge and end-to-end encryption, all while giving you more convenience – and you can start using it right now. Check out our blog post Unlock with Okta for more details.
Unlock with SSO requirements
Important note: all end-users must be using 1Password 8 on all their devices. If you have users using 1Password 7, they will need to upgrade to 1Password 8 before you enable this feature.
Please also ensure that your folks meet the following requirements for various platforms:
| Browser Extension | Ensure you’re using the latest version of 1Password in your browser. |
| Desktop & mobile apps | Get the latest apps for Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and Windows. |
| 1Password.com | The Unlock with Identity Provider tile is now available for all Business accounts under the Security tab. |

Hi all! Hot on the heels of our support for unlocking 1Password using Okta, we now support unlocking using Azure as well. The instructions for setting up 1Password with Azure can be found in the following guides:

- Set up trusted devices
As Yashpreet mentioned above we're continuing our efforts to support additional IdPs. Please let your account manager or our business support team know if there is a specific one you'd like us to support.

Do you have an identity provider other than Okta or Azure that you want to use for SSO with 1Password? Now you can! Today we're launching support for additional IdPs that support the OpenID Connect (OIDC) standard.
