I set Advanced tab to Beta channel, but About screen shows Production

  1. Is that normal, or is something wrong?
  2. If I log in as a different user, will I still be using the Beta, or is that setting part of my user preferences?

    lesster,

    If there isn't currently a beta there won't be anything for you to update to from the production version. The installed app is going to be the same for any user on the system, so if you set it to Beta they're going to be running the Beta version as well.
