1PW Authenticator not being a seperate app makes it unusable for me
My goal is to have 1 authenticator app as I've had for years (Last Pass). My goal was to use 1PW. But....that is not a workable plan for me.
Because Last Pass Authenticator was a separate app I could use it to provide 2FA for my Last Pass Password Manager. In order to use 2FA with an authenticator for 1PW I was told by support I need a second authenticator like MSFT or Authy.
So....I have a choice have two apps one which I use only to protect 1PW then 1PW for everything else. I see no reason to use 1PW authentictor. Might as well just keep going with MSFT or Authy.
Am I missing something? Ifd not, hey 1PW plz make authenticator a stand-alone app.

Hello @shipdiver,
Thanks for your feedback. I can certainly understand your goal of having 1 authenticator app where you need to retrieve OTPs from. The use of 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication is a great tool as it allows you to use and fill the those OTPs automatically through the sign in process on websites.
However, as mentioned in our guide to turn on two-factor authentication for your 1Password account, Getting an authenticator app, as a second authenticator for you 1Password account should be used to prevent issues of needing an OTP for your account and not being able to access the app. You can also, Use your security key as a second factor for your 1Password account.
While I can't make any promises, I'm happy to pass your feedback along to the Product team for consideration of a standalone authenticator app.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We'll be here to help.
