2 years agoI got "Something went wrong - An unknown database error occurred.
Mac OSX Chrome (latest).
Browser extension pop-up was just spinning forever
Stop/start extension did not help
Uninstall/reinstall extension did not help
Browser restart did solve the problem.
A temporary out of disk space situation seemed to cause this (unpacking a big ZIP ran the machine into the OSX low disk mode - very slow, pop-ups to kill/clear things. Chrome went into it's version of the same mode), which makes it very hard to run down in the logs since those also couldn't be written.
This seems like it would be fairly easy to test for.
