Open and fill

I know there are countless threads on this, but each one seems unique.

I'm on a Mac Ventura, running the current version of 1P (8.10.3) and use Firefox 111.0.1 I use the desktop app to access most of my sites, opening it, searching for what I want, then selecting "open and fill." Until very recently it mostly did that.

The last couple of days it opens a tab with the correct site, but then shows me this, and doesn't perform any of the filling. Clicking on that little locked 1P logo does nothing at all.

Direction appreciated. Having to cut and paste is a huge step backwards. Thanks.

  • Hello @DerringDo! 👋

I'm sorry to hear that 1Password isn't working properly with your browser. It sounds like communication between the 1Password extension in your browser and the 1Password for Mac app has broken down. To fix this please do the following:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Application folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if that fixes the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

Thanks, Dave, that was an easy fix. I'll keep that handy if it happens again. Appreciate the pointer.
