Firefox extension blocks browser-stored passwords

Hi there, I have a ton of logins saved in my Firefox account. Since I installed the browser extension, the 1password icon appears in the browser toolbar, as well as in login fields - but I no longer have the option to autofill passwords from the browser's database. Is there a way to fix this?

1Password Version: 8.10.3.12
Extension Version: 2.8.1
OS Version: Windows 10
Browser:_ Firefox 111 64bit

  • Hi @johnsalomon my name's Chris and I'll be happy to help.

You can use the following steps to use 1Password alongside Firefox's autofill:
    1. Right click the 1Password icon in Firefox's toolbar and choose 'Settings'.
    2. In the 'General' section, toggle off 'Make 1Password the default password manager'.
Optional: If you find 1Password's autofill menu intrusive, scroll down to the 'Autofill' section and toggle off 'Show autofill menu on field focus'. This will make it so 1Password's autofill menu only shows when clicking the 1Password icon inside a website field.
    3. Paste 'about:preferences#privacy' into Firefox's address bar.
    4. Check off the items you want Firefox to fill for you such as logins or web forms.

Let me know if those steps work for you or if you have any questions. Cheers!
