app crashing on ios 16.4.1

I update from ios 14.8.1 to 16.4.1 and the 1password app now crashes instead of opening. How do I recover the 1password files?

    I managed to install 1passwd 8 on the iphone. 1passwd 7 is still crashing. When I open 1passwd.com on the iphone it does not see my 1passwd 7 vault. How do I import it into 1passwd 8? When I first opened 1passwd 8 I clicked to import but it did not do so.
