Command-backslash doesn’t seem to work as it used to
It’s quite possible I messed with some setting and screwed things up, but ⌘-\ doesn’t seem to do what it once did. When I got to a login page (e.g. https://toggl.com/track/login/) and hit ⌘-\, the 1Password app will open and allow me to log in, go back to Safari, and then—nothing. I have to click in the username or password field, tap on the 1Password icon in the field, then click on the password entry that pops up—three more steps than it previously took, four if you count moving from keyboard to mouse.
What am I doing wrong here? How do I get back the old functionality?

How can I fix this?
- CalionFrequent Contributor
Okay, so ⌘-\ is now (at least sometimes) bringing up the password dialog, but when I hit Return…nothing happens. When I click on the 1P button in the password field, then click the password entry, it enters normally. But not when I use ⌘-.
Again, I’m on Catalina.

Hello Calion! 👋
I'm sorry that filling isn't working as it used to on your Mac. As a first step can you please try the following:
- Close all open web browsers.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
- Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Application folder.
- Open your web browser.
If these steps don't fix the issue then can you make sure that Universal Autofill is setup correctly: Use Universal Autofill in apps and browsers on your Mac
