How long is emergency account access available if membership is not renewed?
I have the "1Password Emergency Kit" printed out and made part of my estate planning papers for use in case of my death or incapacity. I'd like to know how long emergency access is available online if the membership expires without renewal. I see a thread from four years ago that says "it would be safe to say that it would be accessible for at least a year after the account went frozen." Is this still the case?

Hi there @Steve102
If an account's billing lapses, it becomes frozen. When an account is frozen, you can:
- sign in to the account
- view all items
- copy passwords and other fields
- export your data
Frozen accounts can't:
- create new items
- edit existing items
- add or remove people in your family or team, if applicable
- autofill in your browser
1Password doesn't delete frozen accounts – only the account owner can do that – so the Emergency Kit you've prepared won't expire.
I hope that helps, but let me know if you have any questions.
