Ubuntu 22.4 does not allow abbreviated connections (local password of the PC)
Chrome extensions and the Ubuntu app require reconnections that include the full 1password password, not the local and abbreviated password used on Macs and Windows.
There is also no synchronization between the extension and the application - this means that even if I enter the full password in the chrome extension, I have to enter it in the application as well.
Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

Hey @Maor1744, I apologize for our delayed response.

Do you have system authentication set up on your Linux device? If not, you can follow the steps listed here: Use system authentication to unlock 1Password on your Linux computer
There is also no synchronization between the extension and the application - this means that even if I enter the full password in the chrome extension, I have to enter it in the application as well.
Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?Do you happen to have 1Password or your browser installed via Snap or Flatpak? When the 1Password desktop app or your browser is installed this way, it is sandboxed, and certain features won't be able to work as intended. Could you try running the commands
snap list
andflatpak list
in a terminal, to see what is listed there, and let me know what you find out?Looking forward to hearing from you.
