Uploading existing SSH key files to an SSH item type seems to corrupt them. Is this a known issue?

I created a new item of type "SSH key". I dragged the private key into the field labelled "Drag a Private key here to import." I saved the item.

Downloading the private key from 1Password resulted in a file whose md5sum is different than the md5sum of the file I uploaded. Not surprisingly, the downloaded file could not be used to make an SSH connection. The same thing happens with the public key.

Our current workaround is to use the "Document" item type instead of the "SSH key" item type.
