Passkeys with Firefox

I just got an email announcing Passkeys support. I installed the Firefox extension beta v2.11.1, and I'm trying to test it with https://www.passkeys.io/, but it's not working, i.e. nothing happens when trying to set up a test account. Am I missing something? Is there something additional to enable to make it work?

    Same.

    I was successful in creating and using a passkey via Chrome though.

    Okay, it works now! I have version 2.12.0, on which it actually works.

    I had to update the extension via my browser's Add-Ons menu instead of downloading it from https://1password.com/browsers/beta/firefox/ which is currently outdated.

    Just verified that 2.12.0 installed on another computer. Its working for me as well!!

  • Hello @francislavoie and @Danginerd! 👋

    I'm happy to hear that the latest beta version of 1Password in the browser has resolved the issue for you both. 🙂

    @prime

    Are you also trying to save a passkey for https://www.passkeys.io? If you are then can you update to version 2.12.0 of 1Password for Firefox to see if that will improve things for you as well?

    I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

    While passkeys.io works, https://passkeys-demo.appspot.com/ reports that the device doesn't support passkeys.
    Wonder why? Is it due to a non standard implementation on their end or something else?
