Unlock with Google SSO planned or dev stopped with supporting OpenID?

Love seeing the movement to unlock with SSO being supported but most of my clients are using Google Workspace. Is there additional development happening on supporting unlock with Google SSO or will the currently in beta OpenID Connect be what I need to use?
