Unable to upgrade from 8.10.8

I have been on the beta version of 1Password for a couple of years and have had no issues with updates. However, this morning 1Password for Windows 8.10.8 (81008047) seems to be in an update loop. It is trying to install 8/.10.9-12 Beta and the progress bar gets to a point and then turns red and the changes are reversed. This process repeats itself every time I tell 1Password to restart

    I'm sorry to hear of the troubles updating to the latest beta.

    Could let us know what error message you are receiving? Have you trying downloading and manually installing the latest version of the 1Password beta from our 1Password Releases page?

    If that didn't help, we commonly we see installation/update issues when customer are using security software on their device. Does restarting Windows in Safe Mode with Networking Enabled and then trying to update or manually install 1Password for Windows beta help with this behaviour?

    Customer service looked after the issue. Apparently for some unexplained reason security software on the computer was blocking the installation of the beta and only the beta. This was the first time that a beta update has ever failed with no warning or error message other than it failing. Been using the beta build for almost 2 years.
