1PW Opera One Error "Couldn't connect..."

I understand 1PW does not officially support Opera.... but you should, I've been a 1PW user going back to Ver 4 and gee you really need to. Now for my problem, when I try to use 1PW in Opera1 I get the popup
"Looking for the 1Password app, The 1Password app must be installed for the extension to work properly."
-- Then, after about 10 seconds
"Couldn't connect to 1Password, Make sure you have the 1Password app installed. If you're still experiencing problems follow the simple steps on our support site or contact us."
I followed the Simple Steps and allowed both 1PW and Opera in Privacy/Accessibility with no success. Ideas please? Thanks

Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: MacOS 13.4.1 (c)
Browser: Opera One

    We are working hard to extend our browser support and have recently made some changes in the latest Nightly version of 1Password for Mac to allow users to add trusted browsers. You can see more information on this here: Extending support for trusted web browsers — 1Password Community

    With that being said, I'd like to check the version of 1Password you have installed in your browser as it sounds like you may be using our older Classic extension. Can you go to the extensions page in your browser and let me know do you see '1Password - Password Manager', '1Password (desktop app required)' or both?

    Both. I have "1Password - Password Manager" disabled. Thanks!!

    1Password extension (desktop app required) is an older version of 1Password in the browser that is no longer supported so I recommend removing this from your browser and enabling 1Password - Password Manager which is the modern version of our browser extension.
