New login verification on logged in devices

First, loving the passkey experience and thanks for the beta invite!

I work with EV charger software so recognise how important field testing is, things are never the same when you let it loose to others to destroy!

But back to some feedback...

I just tried logging into Safari on my MacBook using the passkey saved in my key chain, all worked well and was able to use my iPhone to get the authorisation code for the new login. Great!
Then tried logging into Chrome to give the QR code a go and ticked the "public device" to avoid trusting that browser. This time round I noted the "Use last logged in device" prompt to get the authorisation code, I opened my iPhone and used the camera to scan the QR code, this opened the passkey interface and did Face ID, then I saw a brief notification about new login but the authorisation code did not appear when I opened the 1password app on iPhone.
I then realised my last login was from Safari but I had closed the tab, so signed in again using passkey from keychain and the authorisation prompt appeared. I could then get the code and was then able to login to Chrome.

So, this is all good, though it strikes me that I may not have access to my "last logged in" device at that moment in time and that I should be able to respond on any device (in this case I had my iPhone to hand even though the other browser was on the same Mac..) similar to the way Apple ID login works. Forcing someone to remember which device they last logged on with is maybe not the best especially when it may have been days/weeks ago.

Continuing to test as many scenarios as I can think of.. :-) Keep up the good work!
Tristan.

I tried this again with Safari logged in, and I got a notification on my iPhone and MacBook safari, I was then able to use my iPhone to get the auth code.

    Hey there @butterford,

We really appreciate you trying/testing everything out and are happy you are enjoying it!

As you found out, the enrollment code that will be used to make a device trusted should show up anywhere you have previously logged into your 1Password account, not just the last place you have logged in. Saying that, we have noticed and collected some feedback on reliability issues when it comes to the delivery of the device enrollment codes to your trusted devices and we are currently investigating the root cause. Thanks for letting us know of this, and keep an eye on an update from us!

    Thanks!
    MJ

Tried once more after closing Safari logged in page, same behaviour, if I tap on notification on the iPhone app, 1password app opens, but auth code interface doesn't launch. Only signing in on Safari again brings up the auth code prompt.
Seems a bit unstable as to which device the auth prompt appears.. will add Mac app in the mix!
