Unable to sign in when 2FA enabled on Uber app

I use multiple apps provided by Uber. For some reason, due to their login workflow, it’s not possible to enter MFA codes.

I suspect this is because they ask for MFA before asking for the password?

  • Hello @benf! 👋

When filling into other apps, such as an Uber app, 1Password relies on an Apple technology called Password AutoFill to perform the actual filling. Password AutoFill can fill your username and password but it can't fill a TOTP 2FA code. You'll need to copy the code from the 1Password app and paste it into the app that you're trying to login to.

If you're storing a 2FA one-time password for Uber in 1Password, you can have 1Password automatically copy your one-time password to the clipboard so that you can paste it into the app when filling your login information:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password 8.
    2. Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings.
    3. Tap AutoFill.
    4. Turn on "Copy One-Time Passwords".
    5. Go back to Settings.
    6. Tap Notifications.
    7. Turn on "One-Time Passwords".

If I misunderstood the issue then please let me know. 🙂
